Overview

Each of the Transportation Alliance's priority initiatives furthers the organization's mission to improve and expand transportation options for the citizens and businesses of Central Maryland. Achieving this mission will require a dedication to seeing that long-term solutions are implemented such as increased funding for transportation projects and construction of the Red Line. At the same time, the Transportation Alliance is committed to finding opportunities to make near-term improvements, including significant improvement and expansion of the MARC commuter rail service.

Each of our priorities – “Let’s Get to Work” MARC Initiative, “The Last Mile” assessment of transportation access to major employers,  Transit-Oriented Development, Transportation Improvements and The Case for Increased Investment in Transportation - work synergistically to create a regional transportation system that increases access to opportunities for employment, housing, education, services and entertainment.
